Hi all
I got a 09 C300 with Audio 20, no navi. I have installed a Eurpo version DVD changer with navi, everything works great.
But the map is still Eurpo version. I bought a update DVD disk from dealer but it does not work. They told me I have to program the car to make it works.
Before the programing, the Vedoc has to be changed. But the do not know how to do that.
Anybody can help me to change the Vedoc? I can pay for it.

The head unit part number: A 204 900 60 03 ZGS: 001 Q5

I had done this years ago, so I don't remember it too clear.
but before you can use the new DVD map, you need to go into the engineering mode and change the region to US instead euro, otherwise the your map DVD can not be read.

 

Very important message! I just changed the region to US, as you said, it starts to read the disk. It is updating right now, we will see.

But the Controller knob just works in 4 directions. I cannot control it with rotating the knob.

no, mine was working fine after the installation

you mean that you can't scroll down, try with the fm tuner, rotate the knob and see if it does anything.

 

It works up-down-left-right, but rotation is not working.

 

this is really weird, I have never had this problem
but try to play a little bit in the engineering mode, and see if there's something being accentually disabled.

 

Does the navi show on your dashboard?

 

no, you have to have someone who has star diagnostic to do that for you.

Did your control knob rotating function work before retrofit?
Before the retrofit, the rotating function does not work in Audio 20 either.

 

I think you need a new control knob then.

 

I think so, if your knob works well before the retrofit when rotating. I think mine may broken since it does not work even before the retrofit.
