C350 - What do you guys think?
Hi guys,
ok so next year I want to start doing some minor changes to my car. Which one would you think is the best (The rims will only be changes laaaater coz my tyres are still like new ) :
This is what to look at:
Mags from silver'ish to Black
Mirror tint
Front light tint (Full or Partial)
Front Grill (Full or Partial)
Chrome Stripe on the side doors
Chrome around the windows
I forgot to do the spots but also tinting them
Currently:
Ideas:
1. Front Grill and Chrome on Window and doors are gone, Side Mirror Tint
2. Front Grill and Headlight partial tint
3. Front Grill, Headlight Partial Tint, Side Mirror tint, All chrome on side removed and black wheels
4. Front Grill partial, full tint headlights, black wheels, side mirror tint, all chrome removed
5. Front Grill full black, headlight partial tint, black rims, side mirror tint and all chrome removed
6. Front Grill full black, headlight partial tint, black rims, side mirror tint
7. Front Grill full black, partial headlight tint, side mirror tint
8. Front Grill, full headlight tint, side mirror tint, black wheels, all chrome removed
9.
So what is your opinion

8, but leave the headlamps alone. The dark tint on the headlamps just looks like the driver doesn't know what they are used for...not an attractive image.

Hmmm...all your mod choices are cosmetic, so IMO, only you can decide the value/time spent on that, however if I had to vote, I would agree with victort.

The current one is so stock lol. It's like anyone else driving around a Merc and that huge silver grill is so ugly lol.
Well car is going in on the 6th of Jan to get the bumper chips sprayed,m the bonnet, the wheels and the grill (I'm going with Pic nr. 9)
If I get time this saturday I'm installing a xpipe.

Then I would get a nice tint on the windows not too dark, maybe 20% on all the sides and back and 50% in the front if you really have the need for the front.
For the grill, I would either get it painted gloss or matte black but keep the Mercedes Emblem Chrome, so once again it will look clean.
Remember, you have a black car and chrome looks really nice on it, in my opinion I would never mess with the chrome only the grille in the front. If you had a different painted color C350, let's say arctic white in color, black on white fits perfectly and you could remove all the chrome as you please.

None of these. Kind of overkill. Plus that murdered out look was cool like 10 years ago. Just get it lowered a bit (h&r springs would do) and medium dark window tint. Deck lid lip spoiler and AMG wheels or some nice aftermarket ones. Done.

ok so here's the result of my mod so far:
And the sound of the X-pipe I did some time ago:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ot2laas2s60nzii/Merc.3gp
Still to do:
HID Kit (Just have to install it but waiting on a new headlight)
Full LED change to white
Ebay import for Mags center caps
Ebay import for valve caps
considering headlight and taillight tint (clear and not smoked again)
Chrome around the windows has to be black
Going more black on the window's
Side mirror tint (clear)
Rear spoiler (Top of the rear window and the bootlip)
Front Spoiler to let it seem even lower
Decals
Maybe a sound replacement

Looks good the way you have it now then. I'm sure your not done modding but what you have now is nice. Off topic.... You have an xpipe installed? I got mine in about a year or more ago and my car sounds different then it did when initially installed (like the first two months) and it sounds diff from other xpipes. I'll send you a link to see if you think ours sound alike. 300 or 350 they both aren't diff sounding in stock form so models don't matter.
Importing anything outside of SA is a bit expensive. Like fitting a boot spoiler isn't that bad for other guys but if you are in SA it's not actually just a quick cheap mod.
And simple things like a sunglass holder or door sills are impossible to get so that has to be imported then the shipping is almost more than the product lol.
