Wish I'd sprung for that but cars thus fitted were hard to find.
I'm good with the look; the wheels remind me a bit of the 2.5-16 Evo II's but with an extra spoke. Lack of split spokes as on the 17"s and the other non-C63 18" options should make them easier to keep clean. I did clay and wax them before mounting.
Getting back off the winter tires (Michelin X-Ice Xi3) has been much better in terms of grip and noise but the X-Ices actually gave a better ride that not only these 18"s but also the ContiPro Contact 17"s. I'd gotten used to the winter tires' handling and kinda miss being able to throw the car into curves and feel that little bit of squirm and lean.
I just hope the various state and local governments (not to mention the Federal) start to get cracking on fixing the potholes in the roads soon, else I might regret the choice!

Moving on, but staying within the brand
Just a quick note to say that I traded the C250 in this past weekend. It had a shade over 33K miles. Fuel economy leveled out to a consistent 25 city/32 highway, with a negligible difference on winter fuels. (My old Forester XT would consistently drop 2 mpg city/hwy on winter fuels.)
The only problem I had with the car came this past summer when, on a 102F afternoon, I got in the car and selected max A/C, and the fan speed hunted high and low for about 5 minutes before settling on a speed. A fan resistor was replaced under warranty, and the problem did not resurface.
I did stay within the M-B brand, as the replacement car is a leftover 2016 E350 4Matic wagon in Sport trim. I know I'll miss the C's nimbleness, RWD driving dynamics and fuel economy, but I'm hoping that the additional passenger/cargo room and power(!) will make up for it. (It'll certainly make a nice parts hauler for the next Porsche swap meet I attend!) I'd put the 17s with snows back on just before the trade, so someone's gonna get a nice set of X-Ices with just two winters' wear on them. The 7-spoke 18s with OE ContiPro Contacts are in my garage, and will be for sale in the near future.
Thank you all for your advice and suggestions, and I'll see you in the W212 forum!

MBWorld Fanatic!
After much deliberation I finally joined the ranks of W204 owners yesterday. My new car is a '14 C250 Sport sedan, Palladium Silver over Ash. Not heavily optioned with only Premium and Multimedia Packages and KEYLESS-GO, but that's okay with me.
I'll come back and elaborate on this post later today, but for now I want to thank the forum contributors for the collective knowledge that helped me off the fence. Sportstick and MDMercedesGuy were explicitly helpful, and of course Mr. Ruck's expertise was critical, but the overall shared experiences here (especially the subset of facelift W204 and C250 owners) finally convinced me to make the purchase.

I read the subsequent posts. I have a palladium silver one as well, fully loaded, and I insisted on the burl walnut. Much better than that fancy Aluminum trim (I love wood too) LOL

My new E has burl walnut trim - shiny! I'm not sure the best way to keep it clean (good old fashioned furnture polish?) but will search.
