About to pull the trigger on C300
I just sold my '03 Porsche 911. I've been driving my '92 MB 190E that I've had and maintained for years. I've been looking for a C350, but came upon a very nice C300 Luxury with 49K with a very good price. I loved the speed and power of the 911, but find the 190E satisfying cruising down the interstate. Am I going to regret not having the extra power of the C350 over the C300. I will use as a highway cruiser.

Find a 2013, if you've got the cash. Personally, I don't like the pre-2012 interiors, and the 2013 can make ~320 hp with a tune, same as that model year C350. I know when I was considering a C, used 2011's were going for only a little under a new 2013 at the time.

You will really enjoy the new 3.5L direct injection motor in the newer C300 & C350. If you are buying pre 2013 then the c350 is worth the extra investment.

Not sure what year you are looking at but make sure you don't have any humming noise coming from the transmission at 40-45 mph. Mine (08 4matic) has it, very faint and high pitched noise from the transmission area. When I tap on the gas pedal at those same speeds it goes away (and comes back when I let off). Might be the TC, hope like hell it is just a shifter clip or something else though. Done some research here and now a a bit scared

Either would be fine. Just know that the C350 is RWD only. And that is good. Don't get a C300 with 4MATIC as you will need a new transmission.
So, get a C350 or a 2008-2011 C300 RWD. All 2012+ C300 are 4MATIC only

C350 with agility package.
I have owned a C300 and C350 and there is no comparison. The C300 is slow.
The C350 with the sport button will surprise you.
