Front strut spring question

I removed my H&R SuperSports from my car and reinstalled the OEM springs. The issue I had was I cannot tell which way the spring goes and if it would make a difference. Both ends of the spring seem quite similar. The only markings on the spring are a colour code combination. The way I installed them is with the colour code up and the spring sat nicely in the bottom perch against the stop. Does anyone know a definitive answer if there is a right and wrong way to these. Thanks.

Depends on the spring, some springs have a larger end and some are the same on both ends, just make sure the spring have a snug fit on the rubber mount on the strut bearing and youŽll be fine.

Thanks Johan, much appreciated. Both top and bottom plates fit snugly.
