2014 W204 C200 questions, my 1st MB!!

Hi, this is my first thread here, I have had BMWs for years, now the local MB dealer proposed me a great deal to trade my 320i for an C200 and today I brought it home, this is my first MB and is really nice, I use to retrofit and code many things on my BMWs X5 and X3, I don't know if there something alike for MB. Here in Costa Rica the Avantgarde version does not come with COMMAND, linguatronic, DVD etc. it has Audio 20, I have intelligent Light system, Assist, Parking and other nice features, I tried with my VIN to search my config but it seems too new and I couldn't get any info from the VIN Decoder sites.
Thanks

Ok, thanks!, programming has its disavantages, is nice but risky, it is a trial @ error. do you think that it is worth to get the STAR diagnosis software package offered at ebay at aprox $600??.. do I need this software to activate features or retrofit?

no its not worth it unless you want to read out the error messages. any coding you'll make (assuming its the dev version) will not last.

i would buy a COMAND NTG4.5 unit and screen via ebay with the money you'll save on skipping the star diagnosis

Ok, I have no NAV, if I can get a Command NGT4.5 for W204 is this plug and play?, I think I should install at least a GPS antenna, I read something somewhere else that I should need to recode the instrument cluster to work with NAV, how can I do this?.. software? dealer?

yes you'd need a GPS antenna but that isn't much
there shouldn't be any recoding to the kombi instrument.
the unit itself should be plug & play but its possible you'll need a new screen since i don't know the screen type of an audio 20 unit in a facelift
