2 weird lighting issues
1. I'll be driving at night and all of a sudden my headlights will completely turn off. This is obviously very dangerous. I never use automatic headlights either - I have them on manually. Once they suddenly turn off I have to take the knob and manually turn them off then turn them back on again and it's fine. It only happens once a week on random occasion, but it's very dangerous and in the wrong situation can cause a bad accident/my death.
2. Say I just got home from driving. I turn my headlights off, get out, then lock my car. As I'm walking away I'll realize my right rear parking light is on and so is my front right eyebrow. Or a few hours later a friend will tell me those 2 lights are on. I always go into my car and look - and my lights are always on "0". I have to turn them on and back to "0" and it goes away. If I don't catch it my battery will be dead in the morning for this reason.
Anyway. Two strange issues. If anyone has any suggestions or advice lmk. Thanks a bunch.
I was also experiencing an issue where when I turned my headlights on at first, the dash lighting and headlights would flicker before turning on completely. I was also seeing that my eyelids were flickering just driving around town.
I thought this was all related to the LEDs I had just installed in the eyelid, but I decided to do some research, and found that the headlight switch is a common problem in our cars. From what I have read, the sensors inside the headlight switch get oxidized and it causes a short in certain positions of the switch. I took my switch apart to try and get a better understand of how it works and see if I could see anything wrong inside, and after messing with it for 15 minutes or so and putting it back together, I haven't had any issues whatsoever (knock on wood) except one of my right eyelid lights going out and causing a warning on the dash at times. I switched out he bulb, and so far so good (crossing my fingers). The lighting systems in these cars are ridiculously finicky.
Heres some reading for you to help point toward my suspicions of the light switch:

Ive read a few threads where individuals were having the issue with the eyelid light and stated replacing the headlight switch fixed the issue, but I can't find them now.
