2008 C300 - Latest firmware/software?
I called my local M-B dealership, and they said they'd charge me just to hook it up to see if I needed a new upgrade to the firmware and software. I'm not the original owner, so I'm not 100% sure if it's current. Note, I didn't get it from a M-B dealer. So, a couple questions:
1. Is there a way I can find out what version of firmware mine is?
2. What have been some major improvements in the updates? Is it worth the time and the money? Does it fix that low auxiliary volume issue? I'd love to be able to play devices off my phone and not hear only half volume no matter how loud I crank it up....

I recall this topic from a long time ago. Yes I think it fixes the aux volume issue as well as Bluetooth issues where the listener cannot hear you well. I never that problem.
One unfortunate fix is that it also defaults your transmission to the "C" or comfort mode every time you shut it off. THAT would drive me nuts. I'll not do it just because of that.
One thing I wondered is that if it will let you download address books from later model phones. currently I cannot do this and have tried several blue tooth apps.

Does anyone know if they will release another firmware update soon, or is it just end of the line for the '08 C300 support?
