2014 C300 4Matic Transmission jolt/jerking problem
#251
I can confirm that LI27.19-P-056610 fixes the rough shift problem for my 2014 C300. Took it to the dealer with the TSB in hand, at first they looked at it and said it only applied to E-class because the TSB says "Only for 212 with M276 experiencing harsh 4-3 4-5 complaints", but after researching they did the update and charged me half hour labor. Problem solved.

Just to give everyone an update.
So I had my planetary gear replaced a few months ago, which actually helped a lot with the transmission jerk on my 2014 C300 (among other things).
However I still wanted this update so I went back and said that as part of the repair, they should've also updated my transmission.
Long story short, I got them to do it for free. While I wouldn't say the transmission is perfect, there is definitely a noticeable improvement - and this is on a car with almost 200,000km!

2015 c300 4matic
Have the same problem with my 2015 c300 4matic. Took the car to the dealer 3 times with no result! Did software update, transmission service, checked the valve body with the solenoids, everything is fine. 1600$ later the car jerks violently when I accelerate on a cold start! Don’t know what to do at this point!

I am sorry that I wasn't clear. I do not think the country of origin for the build matters. I think they are all built in Germany (although the 2015 will be built in america) Reading these posts, it seems like some of the problem may be in the set up for various markets since most do a re-programing as the 1st fix. i was just wondering if the incidence of problems was greater in some countries.

Don’t want to break your hopes but I have a 2015 C300 4matic and I have the same problem. Violent jerking motion (back and forth) when I try to accelerate really hard! The car is in the service for the 4th time . Complained to Mbzusa and they said I should change the service! Waiting for updates, did software update, transmission service, checked transmission, valve body they said everything is fine!

Update! I got my car back today! They ended up replacing the valve body, the car drives really nice, no jerking motion or unusual gear changes! The part has a 2 year warranty with unlimited miles! They test drove the car and did a cold start drive test with no issues! Hopefully this solves the problem! I’ll keep you updated throughout and see how it goes!

Anyone know how much a valve body repair/replacement costs at the dealership?

Sorry to hear that, it must be really frustrating. It’s weird that the car drove smooth and now back to original problem. I wonder if it’s something else.

Sorry to hear this. It's these experience that makes one hate a certain brand if the dealer is not proactive and willing to go above and beyond to keep the customer happy. What are you going to do now?

Fortunately I have a deal with the service manager at Mercedes which states that if they can’t fix the car they will refund me the money for the repairs! He asked me to leave the car for 2 weeks, gave me an E 350 as a loaner!

Update on 07/01/2020. Got my car back again and Mercedes service gave up, got my 900$ refunded back to me after replacing the valve body! They can’t figure out what’s wrong with the car! Very very dissatisfied with the car, the jerk happens almost all of the time when I accelerate a little bit harder! I guess it’s time to call a lawyer!

I'm sorry to hear you're still going through this? I am sure they opened a case with MB Germany and as a result, since they are unable to fix the car, why don't they replace the entire transmission with a brand new one with all the updated parts (if any) and updated software?
#271
After they did the software update which was recommended from a different service that dealt with the same problem, the other owner ended up replacing the transmission which still didn’t fix the problem! Even the service manager recommended not replacing the transmission, for a car that has 47k miles that’s unacceptable!!

I already called Mbz USA 2 times and I have talked to them explaining them the situation, I have a case, got the same text from 2 different people telling me that I should try a different service shop!
#273
Did you try a difference service shop? Give it a chance and maybe they know what they're doing. You'll have a loaner in the meantime and that's alright since you will be showing them that you went by their suggestion. If it's successful, you win. If not, you threaten them with lawyering up and see how they respond.
