Esc inoperative message popped up after LED installed

I recently installed some led lights in the interior of my 2010 c300 4matic sport and soon after i got an esc inoperative message. What should i do? Is it something serious or no? Does it have to do with the lights?

Thanks

I strongly doubt that this would cause your problem. ESC is usually due to low voltage, like if your alternator or battery is failing. It could also be speed sensors and stuff, but generally ABS won't work either. I haven't seen only one come on before.

i tried putting my old lights back on but still nothing. The car feels pretty much the same except it accelerates a little less slower. Any way to get the message to go away? should i take it to the dealer?

Try this as something simple: can you reset the light by just pressing or holding the ESP button on the center stack? Kind of a long shot, but hey, can't hurt?

Next, try putting the car in Dyno mode, and back out. To do that, you hold the left direction arrow on the steering wheel and the phone hang up button on the other side of the steering wheel. Toggle to dynamometer mode and then restart the car after that. There's a YouTube video of a guy with a Russian accent that instructs how to do it if my instructions didn't help. Just search for how to turn off the traction control in a C Class.

After that, I guess I would make sure the battery is fully charged and holds a full charge. If not that, I think I'm out of suggestions.
