Navigation Update: Having Issue
I recently purchased the latest navigation update for my 2009 C350 and performed the install myself. I am happy with the updated information but I now have an issue where the unit will not load any map info at certain zoom levels. I can see all info at the closet two zoom levels but as soon as I zoom out to the third level and all the way to maybe fifth or sixth level, the unit does not load anything. However, once I zoom out past a certain point, the unit loads the info again showing regional information like freeways, rivers, states, etc. Has anyone heard of this issue or have any ideas how the problem might be resolved? I tried to reinstall the update but the unit wont allow a reinstall since the update has already been performed.

When was the last time you updated your command? From what I heard if you skip a lot of updates the main command software gets screwed or confused. I had the same problem with my command when I installed a 2011-2012 update and the car has the original map version of 2008-2009. When I installed the update everything went okay but the logos on my POIs disappeared so a trip to the service centre and they have to reload a new version of the command software to fix the problem. Hopefully you have a extended warranty as they will still fix that for you. Just tell them you bought the map update and it screwed the command unit, if not try to shed tears in front of the SA and hopefully they will do a good will for you.
