Stumped! LCD replaced, but still not working!!!

Hi everyone, I need your help!
I recently ran into a problem with my C300 Nav 7" lcd screen, that I can't seem to fully troubleshoot myself. I was driving to work one morning and without any warning, my screen goes black with a slight burning smell; no flickering, dark spots, etc..but every other fully loaded feature works fine. So I researched and learned that this is a fairly common problem in 08 's and a pretty easy DIY fix, so I thought!
I proceeded to dismantle the pop-up display and confirmed the burned out cfl bulbs & wire connection on the bottom left corner, then I just replaced it with a brand new oem Phillips screen and re - installed it (thinking wow that was an easy fix), but all I had was the same black screen, so checked and reset every single fuse in the vehicle (front to back) starting with the two on the rear of the pop-up display, all checked out fine. I dismantled the screen and began checking the motherboard for voltage using a multimeter, most of the board had power with the exception of the (Video In) connection, which tested 0.00, then followed the video cable to the rear of the Comand H.U. (Video Out), also tested 0.00. This is where I hit the brick wall, where do I go from here? (Please don' t say the dealership ) As I enjoy being a DIYer and prefer learning something new, so please share your wealth of knowledge, any help will be greatly appreciated!

there are some fuses in the NTG4 unit, i'm not sure the power for the screen passes those fuses but did you check those too?
also can you flip the screen?

Doa,
I have not checked those fuses, I wasn't aware that there were more than the one (20 amp fuse), I will check and get back to you on that. The motorized components of the flip-up are in working order, as well as all other button functions. The one thing I forgot to mention, is the failure occurred a day after I used the ipod interface cable for the first time since I purchased the vehicle in 09.

Doa,
I did check the fuse (20amp) behind the NTG4 and it is good. Today the flip-up display opened & closed on it's own, without me touching anything, weird!
