(2012 C300 Sport) Facelift W204 SPYDER projector headlights install

Hey guys, I'm a newbie at installing stuff in cars so excuse my ignorance, but I've been trying to educate my self on the topic so that I can get rid of the horrible halogen lights that came with my 2012 c300 sport.

What I've determined(and please correct me if I am wrong).

1. I can't install HID bulbs in the stock halogen headlight because it will blind
people and make even a Buddhist priest want to rip my throat out.

2. I pretty much HAVE to buy a projector headlight if I want to install HIDs.
The only one I can find is made by a company called Sypder Auto.

3. This projector headlight DOES NOT coming with HID lights, so I have to
take care of that part on my own.

4. Which means I need to buy an HID conversion kit as well as a ballast, but
not just any ballast, a Canbus ballast because they are compatible with
German cars.

5. Also, I need a capacitor to cancel out the error message that I will see
on the dash because Mercedes doesn't recognize HID lights.

My question to you guys is, Do I need to buy a specific HID conversion kit, or will any one work? Also, do I need to buy a specific capacitor?

Thanks for reading and for answering my questions(in advance)

Hi , you are pretty much right about everything except for the ballast . But you have another option . Send your headlights to this company https://www.theretrofitsource.com . They can retrofit THE right lens ( spider headlights are for halogen bulbs ) in your headlights .Also they have probably the best HID kits . The output of their kits is superior to OEM headlights. The only bad thing is that you have to wait for at least a week.
I am one of their satisfied costumers.

Thanks for the reply Petar.

When you said..

"..They can retrofit THE right lens ( spider headlights are for halogen bulbs.."

I thought because the spyder headlights specified that they are projector headlights(which come with halogen bulbs), then I can use any HID kit with them?

If you are right thought, then it sounds like I will have to wait a week to get this done right...what's a week in the grand scheme of things

You can technically put HID bulbs into halogen projectors, but it still causes glare for incoming traffic. HID projectors retrofitted into your stock housing is the way to go to get the best results.
