nav update question?

nav update question?
ive got a 2011 c63 and i wanted to know can i update my navigation system to the newer versions that mercedes benz uses in newer cars? i tried looking on the forum but i couldnt really find a post that answered my question. would love to hear from you guys.

Do you mean via a software update? If so, no, you cannot. Not unless someone in some far reach of the internet has posted about a hack (and I've looked). You can update the maps, but that's about all. Maybe if there is a software update out for that particular COMAND unit and the dealer is willing to apply for you, it would give a few small new features (depends on what's available). That is something that has occurred in the past. It's not going to update you to the newest NTG 4.5 / NTG 5 system though. That would require a new unit entirely.
