battery problems or headlight switch

my car keeps dying in the morning. sometimes my car has it's front eyebrow light on and rear parking light on. it flashes on and off. i dont know if that's whats killing the battery or my battery is just dead. what do you guys think?

Haha I just posted about this problem today.. Hopefully this problem is known as well as a fix. Curious, did you notice it on a cold day cause I first noticed it after one of our cold spells here in VA.

This happened to me as well.
  • passenger parking light stays on after car is turned off even if exterior light switch is on off position
  • the battery eventually drains and no longer charges

Turned out the exterior light switch was faulty. Had both switch and battery replaced under warranty. Attached is a picture of the service advisor's write up.

There is a DIY thread for to replace the exterior light switch.

I also now leave the exterior light switch on auto.
