A somewhat retarded idiot backed into the side of my C 220 CDI the other day damaging the two left hand passenger side doors. Panel beaters say that door replacement is required. Fortunately the main frames of the car have not been bent. Have sourced two replacement doors painted the same colour in excellent condition for 1200 dollars.
These doors are empty shells and now I need to know has anyone replaced their doors and could give me a few clues on how to go about it or whether it is advisable to get a panel beater to do the job.

Those doors have a seal on them for the side airbags to work properly. Better get a proper body shop do it as you have to replace the seals as well.
