Need suggestions! C300 Luxury

Hello, I was in the market for a Benz back in October. I normally don't like to buy new cars because to me they lose value to quickly. At the same time I wanted something to look as new as possible. So I found/bought an certified 09 C300 Luxury w/ multimedia package and with 21k, super clean, super mint from my local Benz dealer. Anyway I've tried to search on the forum for ideas on upgrading the look of the vehicle with out making it look ghetto. I'm really looking for a cleaner look if you get my drift.

Paint job is black, already tinted windows 18% all around except 80% on the windshield. I'm going to add HIDs next week. Now open to suggestions, please post picks of your luxury models whether they are pimped out or slightly upgraded.

Also can anyone suggest a good site that sells upgrade accessories for Benz?

Thanks!

Hey congrats!

I also bought a used '09 a year ago and love it. I was lucky that I found one with the multimedia package and premium 2 with sat radio, keyless go, HID, etc.

However even if your '09 is certified you'll still need to do the following maintenance asap (strongly recommended - to be safe):

1) Transmission fluid change, including fluid change in the TC (torque converter)

2) An '09 battery will need to be changed. Get an Interstate mega-tron mtp

3) Power steering flush

4) Brake fluid flush

5) Coolant fluid change

6) Have the taillight connection plug wiring re-done before they melt and cause further problems (both sides). Know issue on our models.

7) change your cabin filter.

8) There's a free benz recall to change the electrical wiring harness for cam adjustment solenoid. Do it.

Once all this is done you can then attack the look of the car. Some suggestions:

1) 2010+ Side mirror LED cover upgrade - strongly recommended - updates the look to newer W204s! (check on ebay)

2) Clear or smoke front sidemarker cover lights

3) AZN optics 5K LED Eyelids & Sidemarkers bulbs

4) New '08-11 LED tail light upgrade (check on ebay)

5) 5K Diamond Vision Fog Light bulbs

6) new rims, tires, etc.

Have fun!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!

First of all I would like to say that it is your car, and you can do anything you want with it, even if there are negative and positive opinions on here about a modification you do.

Some mod recommendations I would do would be as followed:

1. Debadge

2. Add a nice spoiler, maybe an AMG spoiler.

3. LED upgrades as stated by the guy above me.

4. Painted Calipers

5. The guy above me said most of the things that you can do that are not too "pimped out." However, just browse around and look at the official C-Class picture thread to see what other members have done to their cars. Doing this will help you decide what you want to do if you like it or not.

Enjoy your new car!

Fluid was clean as if a flush was done.

3) Power steering flush

Clean

4) Brake fluid flush

5) Coolant fluid change

Need to look into this. Thanks!

7) change your cabin filter.

8) There's a free benz recall to change the electrical wiring harness for cam adjustment solenoid. Do it.

Need to check on this too.

2) Clear or smoke front sidemarker cover lights < would like to do this

3) AZN optics 5K LED Eyelids & Sidemarkers bulbs < I have read people having issues with these leds so im holding off until theres a better option.

4) New '08-11 LED tail light upgrade (check on ebay) < would like to do this

5) 5K Diamond Vision Fog Light bulbs < converting low beams and fogs with morimoto HIDs 6k

6) new rims, tires, etc. < in the works

Have fun!

Thanks for the Input
I'm a service advisor for a living, I actually inspected this vehicle like I was certifying it. I think the sales guy didn't appreciate that. LOL! Also I get a kick out of it when I have to service my car MB deallership. I had some items that needed repair like the cold start ticking noise these models have. Their service advisors were freaking out because they can't BS me.
