New facelift style exact replica OEM look aftermarket tail light for 2008-2014

Not sure if anyone is looking for cheaper aftermarket tail light that looks exactly like facelift OEM tail lights, I just found this today. I think I'm the first to buy as still says only 1 sold. Looks exactly like OEM and not the usual aftermarket tail lights with less LEDs. It does throw off the fog light error as they mention it does not come with load resistor. I have a feeling though that I'll have the same issue with unprogrammed SAM with OEM facelift tail lights. I'll find out next week.

UPDATE: Tailights (Got pulled from ebay as they may have been euro spec OEM being sold as aftermarket)
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...d=171247605691

This is the resistor recommended by the seller to eliminate dash error.

Alternative that works out of the box w/o error:
Another alternative Depo made ones, thanks to Richard2011 for finding them. These do not throw off any codes and they light up correctly.

Here's a clear one. Thanks to Sid22 for posting

You can also buy from USR

Images below are off the ones I bought and not the DEPO ones. Pictures for those are in the ebay links or USR's website

I have these installed on my 2008 C300. Perfect fit, plug and play with no error codes. Love them, best lighting upgrade.

Not the same ones. You have the ones that's been selling for a while. The one I posted looks exactly like OEM. Compare the number of LEDs on the turn signal and the position and length of the parking light.

Didn't realize you posted before I saw your PM. We'll probably get them at the same time. Good luck to both of us haha. I'll let you know what my results are.

At least the seller posted that caution at bottom...

Description:
These taillights fit all 08-14 models.
Dash check light for rear fog light will illuminate for 08-11 models. It can be eliminated with load resistors (Not included) .
LED tail light may trigger dash check light. LED load resistors not included.

And why does the picture of the reverse lights look red and not white?? Anyways good luck withem...

It doesn't look like the other ones. I just bought those other ones last week and returned them due to aesthetic defect. The rear on these looks didifferent as well and doesn't have resistors like the ones I bought. Counting the LEDs on the turn and how the parking lines are spaced out, it looks even like OEM. But I hope they didn't post bogus images though. That would suck.

The images look legit too me, but why are the reverse lights red?? And your right the ones u posted don't have resistors, but as the seller noted to remove the error messages you will need to buy resistors, good luck anyways

Thanks. The way they describe the dash error sounds exactly like how OEMs react when put on a pre facelift w204. So it probably has the break light halfway illuminated too.. I know a guy with diag tool so he's willing to experiment on my 2010 SAM. I dont know though, so far I haven''t seen anyone figure it out so I'm not that hopeful. But would be great if I can get to look as clean as yours.

Also I'm thinking those are fogs since theres exactly 4 leds and not the reverse. Looking at the image it looks like the reverse still uses the stock halogen light. I can see the chrome reflector inside and looks too deep for LEDs. Can you confirm if that's how OEMs reverse look?

Correct if Im wrong but I am not sure if that is the reverse light. I believe that's the rear fog light function. Nonetheless looking forward to this buy since the last ones on the market just haven't been able to cut it. that side view on them is nasty.

Thumbs up

This is promising. Another ebay seller with the same item. He has 1 image thats different than the seller I posted and it clearly looks like OEM and not the same aftermarket floating around for years. This a good sign for me as I'm sure I'll be getting whats pictured. We may be seeing this a lot more on ebay now.

This seller also has better return policy. 60 days and no restocking fee.

UPDATE: Actually same image but my seller chopped the background. DOH!

I get mine tomorrow so anyone waiting to see actual product won't be waiting too long....

This is what the seller linked me to.

There's another thread where someone added their own resistor to OEM and I'm sure it will go the same way. I'll post when I find it.

Well..here it is guys. OEM LOOK!!!! Going to install them in a bit and see how the brake and fog lights go. I'm still waiting on the resistors so for now I have to deal with the fog light error. The quality is really good though compared to the other type LED tail light I bought 2 weeks ago. Let me know if you have any questions on them.

I plugged it in real quick and I do see the fogs are on but I think I can see a little light in the brake light but I won't find out till it gets darker. Also the turn LED indicators are yellow. Reverse and brakes are halogen.

I just received my real OEM Mercedes LED tail lights in the mail, I can't wait to install them.

Well. As I suspected, brake lights are halfway lit and fogs are on. Damn it. Hopefully the guy I know with the daig tool can help. I wonder if the resistor's will do anything. Getting a set so might try one on the parking light.

Ya crazy. I guess they are exact replica of oem down to the wiring. Do you mind checking on yours if how the parking lights are lit? Are they actual LED in that strip? Icant tell but thats what Im assuming. There's only 3 halogen in this thing. 1 reverse, 2 for parking/brake thats lightly lit and gets brighter when you press the brake. If I put a resistor to lessen the load then it might dim them enough not to show but I'm assuming its also going to be less bright when brakes are applied. That would be a safety issue I think, even though theres a 3rd brake strip on the rear window.

So removed the bottom left corner bulb on the driver side tail and it looked more normal. I'll post a video of it later. Just waiting for an extra hand..or foot lol. I couldnt prop my phone high enough when I was recording it and trying to depress the brake.. So I think the resistor on just that bulb might help.
