Finally the Ipod interface cable was replaced.
Finally for around to do it. Found the cable (white tip MB part # 6-7-82-4531) at one of my local dealers for $65 including taxes. One of the guys from service explained the entire process and I was able to do it in 10 minutes. It was a breeze.
