Mercedes C200 CGI 2011 W204
Whine, noise W204 anyone

Hi,

First post here hopefully I'm doing this right.

Got some problem with my C200 CGI - 2011 (W204). From time to time the car makes a noise or a whine. Whenever the RPM changes exceeds the "stand-by" level - just before 2000rpm or around it, the car makes this sound. I have tried to shut down the AC but nothing changes. So it appears more and more if you are accelerating at mentioned level.

At 14-16 sec you will hear this on the video. Trying to force it by shift gear.

Waiting for your respond guys.

Thank you

Yes it is completely normal. This is just the way Mercedes-Benz designed their transmission pump.

To me it seems more like an alternator whine. Mine has that sort of "rc car" or turbine-like sound that is closely tied with the engine speed
