So apparently there are no issues now, maybe I just had to "break them in". No buzzing or any other issues.

May I ask where did you buy the HID kit? 35W or 55W? What temperature and what the color do you observe? Do you notice the time it takes from yellowish to white after you turn it on? Thanks.

I will install HID soon and prefer "pure" white, no yellow and no blue at all.

I did a full S2000 Projector Retrofit. The HIDs however, are 6000k on the kelvin temperature scale. When they are not warmed up yet, they are a bluish color than eventually turn to white. Pure white is 5000k, but I honestly see no blue in my 6000k HIDs. I think the proper name for the 6000k color is indeed "Crystal White." I'm using a 35W Ballast.

Thanks for the reply.
I installed a cheap 35W HID kit on my 2001 Hyundai XG300 just for practice purpose. 35W is far from enough brightness. Also when it is first turned on, it takes maybe 1 second from yellow to pure white.
I forgot the color temperature, maybe 5000k. When warmed up, yellow-to-white time is shorter to almost not noticeable.

Really? I compared a 55w ballast to my 35w ballast and I didn't see much of a difference. The 55w was just slightly brighter.

FWIW the buzzing would be from the relay, check the grounds. Did you install can bus ballasts or the eliminators / resistors?
