Front brake caliper plate - painting
So I ordered a set of new wheels and tires last week and I'm waiting for the tires to come in stock so they can be mounted and shipped to me. I figured no better time than now to clean up my brake calipers and rotors to get them looking better for when the new wheels are here!
I just ordered a G2 brake caliper paint kit in Red. Yes, I know, it's not a race car and its far from a ricer but it is my car and I've done red brakes on every car I have owned so why stop now haha Plus, I have always loved the look of bright red on a black car... I am also gonig to pull my rotors and zinc coat them as VicViper demoed in one of his posts to freshen them up. Anyway, back on track
So, my question is in regards to the black plate that is on the front brake calipers. Keeping in mind that I'm painting the calipers and caliper brackets red:
Should I leave it black with the white mercedes-benz decals on them?
OR
Should I paint the entire caliper AND the black plate red and try to get new white Mercedes-Benz caliper decals? Do the decals need to be cleared over the top of them?
If anyone has any pictures or knows links to pictures of calipers finished please post them up so I can compare. I have been searching on here for a while and can't seem to find anything.
** If anyone knows where to find the Mercedes-Benz caliper decals like the stock ones, please let me know!**

I left the plates black with the white Mercedes-Benz. If you want to remove the plates and paint them red- you can order the decals from ebay or from this site:
