Blacked out the trunk emblems

Weather was good and I had the time so I pulled the trigger.

I HATE CHROME PARTS.

What did you use, Plasti Dip?

And why do you hate chrome appliques?

I used several coats of Plasti-Dip. Never been a fan of chrome wheels, trim parts of anything shinny.

im in the same boat, i HATE hate chrome. idk why, it just kills it. especially with tinted windows, the chrome window trim needs to be painted. on my C63 absolutely every bit of chrome is painted flat black.

I can not see how a can of rubber spray paint is classified as a modification. I know, I hate to be negative but seriously on a Mercedes? I can expect that on a lower end type of car. The plasti-dip will just peel/fade off soon or later.

Anyhow, it does indeed look good!

I've had my emblems and side makers and chrome runners on my car blacked out for just about a year, there isn't any visable cracks or tears. Its all about how to take care of the car. I've never washed my car in those drive thru washes; always at home, hand wash with me washing it. Its a step that I've done to make sure they stay they same as they did a year ago. Another route is to get them all painted, but thats just too much work.

Same here I hate chrome on my steel grey metallic. I wrapped all my chrome door/trunk/fog light trim with matte black 3M and replaced the stock grill with C63 style piano gloss black grill.
Btw black out emblem looks great!

That's the beauty of it. If later on you decide to go another route, 15 minutes and you are original.

Had mine on for over 3 years since I have done it, and still looks just as good as day one. Anything done to a vehicle that makes it different than OE is considered a mod.

Thinking about it. Can't see myself paying $300 for the vinyl roof wrap. If I find someone with a reasonable pricing, I will but my main goal is to find these wheels first.

Black and more black

I have a few stores nearby that have them. Also found some replicas on eBay.
Just search for
C63 AMG black wheels and you will see then.

Same with rubber spray paint. You aren't changing anything. You are "painting" over OEM badges, thus leaving no modification.

"You aren't changing anything"

"Leaving no modification"

Let's take a trip back to grammar school.

So now this is a grammar lesson huh? I'm going to reposition my rear view mirror, and put it in my forum signature and classify it as a modification, since it is not in the position I bought the car in "OEM."

You get so offended of me making in fun of a $6 can of rubber spray paint. Calm your panties.

P.S I still am in grammar school

I still am in school so you really didn't take me anywhere to be honest. If you aren't offended, please don't comment childish nonsense like your picture above, which violates the forum rules that you agreed to.
