Help a newbie out, 2010 c300 vs 2012 c300
I've never owned a "luxury" vehicle before. I've owned a 2004 Mustang GT, and now my daily driver a 2000 Cherokee. As you can imagine neither was ever a smooth or luxurious ride. I took a ride in a buddies 2009 C300 and instantly fell in love with everything about it. I had my eyes set on a 2012 C300 but noticed these newer ones don't come with projector head lamps, unless you get the ILS package. Well none of the ones available around me have the ILS package. I can grab a 2010 which has projectors for pretty short money, but what else is different from the years a side from headlights. I know cosmetically they changed a bit, but anything engine/power train wise? I must say the newer years interior seems much much nicer than the 2010. I realize I can probably google this information but like hearing first hand from the experts on here. Thanks for the help.

2010 C250 4matic
i bought a 2010 few months ago
there was a 2012 for 5k more
i regret now not getting the newer one
which would have longer warranty and better value when you decide to upgrade

2012 has the updated interior, 5" media display, in gauge display, LED DRLs, the 3.0L M272@228hp and the 7G+ transmission.
2010 has the old interior, older 7G transmission, same M272 engine.
2013 has the newer M276 3.5L engine, if you're interested.

New engine, new transmission. Huge face lift inside. Probably more. Engine went up like 30hp for the c300. 2012 was a big year. I'd rather deal with the halogens or get one of the ebay HID kits on the 2012 if its a big deal.

You can get these for your 2012, they look exactly the same as OEM projectors. http://www.alibaba.com/product-detai...223031141.html

I found this out with my last BMW, that turned out too good to be true. Thus get a pre purchase inspection at the dealership, it would cost a little bit but it's definitely worth it if you are not going through the dealership.
Also, if you like the looks of the preface lift c300, I'd try to find a 2011, it will still be under warranty and you have the projectors. If you get if from the dealership, you prob can work in an extended warranty. Just my two pennies
