Auto window up when it rains

Ok so I'm not new here but this is probably my 4th post in 5 years. But i did just upgrade from a W202 to a W204. And my question is what the name of the thread says. My 2011 C300 has rain sensing wipers, now i thought i heard a while back that if the windows are down and the doors are locked, and it starts to rain the car will automatically roll up the windows?

So i tried this but locking my doors leaving all the windows down and spraying water on my windshield and nothing happened?

Was i misinformed about this feature?

PS: my command system doesnt download my contacts from my iphone5. IS that normal?

1. Never heard of the raining sensor will close the window when it rain on MB W204.
2. I do not have the Iphone 5, but my Samsung 4 transferred all my contact list (200) to my 08C350 Comand (I have to direct the Samsung to xfer my contact list to my MB bluetooth, it took a couple minutes).

Mine closes the sunroof but I'm not sure about the windows - I discovered it by accident when cleaning the front windscreen and I had the microfibre cloth over the rain sensor (behind the rear view mirror).

See I knew I wasent the only one that heard about that. They should go up if it rains. It's a good Idea and can't imagin it would take a lot of devolpment for these cars to do that.

Perhaps you tested it incorrectly by spraying the windshield. Put the windows down and then spray the water through the window opening. Then see if they close!

No......wait......don't!

My instructions say that the car needs to be locked for it to operate so perhaps locate the rain sensor on the windscreen and then try it with the car locked and unlocked.

I don't understand why anyone would lock their car whilst leaving the windows open.

I tried spraying rain-ex on the rain sensor to mimic rain with the sunroof open and it didn't close. So I think this confirms this isn't true

Sorry, to clarify - I was referring to the sunroof and not the windows.

Definitely works... but you have to have certain options on the car.
