Debadging trunk
Hey guys,
I wanted to de-badge the back side of my car for a unique look. I think I'll keep the Mercedes logo but remove the C300 emblem.
Is there any hints or tips that can help while removing them? holes? what items do I need for it?
Thank you

No holes in anything on the sides, c300/4matic/AMG. Star has 3 holes at the very center, very close together.
I did my 2012 about 6 weeks ago and just pulled each letter off. Goo-gone would help if you have trouble, fishing line if you’ve never done it before, plastic / credit card if you’ve done it before and pay attention.

I used the hair dryer/dental floss method. Make sure you heat up each emblem real good with the hair dryer before attempting to dislodge it with the dental floss. Fishing line is more reliable and won't break as easily, however you should be careful not to damage the paint.(Most likely you won't)

I believe there is no hole after you remove the chrome door molding. Same with the badge they are held on with adhesive. You can remove using the same method. Share us some pics once you done
The door moldings are the only chrome pieces left unwrapped on my car. Somehow I am fighting against the urge to get rid of it. I like those pieces there but I just dont like that they are chrome. I plan to wrap them all with 3M 1080 M227 matte blue metallic vinyl. Hopefully it comes out nice on steel grey metallic

Make sure you heat the badge and then use fishing line. I used kite string because it cuts better and doesn't break. Then I use a 3M adhesive remover wheel (available at auto parts stores) to take off all the stickies. It's much safer than goo gone. It looks like this.
