Heater/AC Blower Motor Removal C300 -2008

I have the cover off the passenger side area and have the blower motor exposed. Unlike older models where there are a few spline screws to remove the older model C300 blower motors, mine has a an arrow where it looks like there is a latch of some sort holding the blower motor in. I cannot seem to budge it however. Does anyone know the process for removing this years blower motor located under the passenger side dash? I have attached a photo of the blower motor with the arrow imprinted on the plastic molding of the motor.

Just figured it out. After disconnecting all wiring harnesses. Pull down on tab with arrow on it just a bit twist motor about 1" clockwise. The pull down on motor. (Motor will still be a bit snug I gave it a good pull and it popped out. (Hopefully I did not break any plastic in the housing).

Hey bud,
Was the motor making a whistling noise when turned on? Just wondering if you bought a new one to replace and if you did, how difficult was it/how much did it cost you?

It was making weird noises then stopped working a few times. I took the cover off the battery and reached into the top side of the blower and turned it with my fingers to get it going a few times. After a few months, it stopped all together. I knew it was the motor. I just received the new one today and will install this weekend. Around $90 on Amazon. Original Behr motor or $150 on other sites, but I don't care because I hate this car. It's a piece of junk. The hardest part so far was removing the cover to the motor above the passenger foot area (under passenger dash). After removing three screws, there is a hook of some sort that keeps cover up. I broke it off by accident. German engineering cluster F. Hope this helps.

Lmao yea these cars are a pain in the *** to try and repair something. Mine is making a whistling sound but still works. I only use the heat or a/c in extreme circumstances lol I won't fix it until it goes. Thanks for the reply

I'm hearing noise from the vent with speed over 40 miles/hr and AC/heat OFF... Any idea what that could be? it sounds like a fan but again my AC is OFF. thoughts?
