Need to change rear turn signal color

Ok, before anyone jumps on me, I have searched the forums and have found conflicting answers from previous posts.

I have a 2009 C350 W204 US spec. I shipped it to Japan and I need to change the rear turn signals from red to amber. I have seen some answers on here that you can change the LEDs to amber but have also seen you need to change the entire tail light since it is embedded in the light housing.

Has anyone done this? If so any help would be appreciated as I need to start ordering the parts before my car arrives.

Thanks

You can detach actual LED portion, but I'm not sure how simple the jib will end up being. If you can find just the amber turn LEDs then you can do it by disassembling the lights, but for around $300 us you can get the eBay light bar tails that have orange signals already. Just depends on if it's worth the work and sourcing the LEDs strip.

Hondafan,
Thanks for the reply. I think I am going to try and get some off Ebay and keep it simple.
