Squeaky Sunroof
Squeaky Sunroof
2009 C300 W204. When I open the sunroof on "Tilt" it squeaks when going over bumps...sounds like a mouse is trapped in there...
Anyone else have this issue or ideas on resolving it?
Thanks!

Lube. I'd lube all the contact points I'd be able to get to (including rubber seals). You can either go cheap and spray everything with a silicone spray....or get a MB manufactured lube specifically for such use, however it is fairly expensive. I think a small 2 oz bottle is like $50.
I was informed of this "MB" lube by a side conversation I was having with the service manager, in that I was claiming that car manufacturers don't actually produce oils and such. He corrected me by bringing up a special MB lube that they use specifically to correct squeaks from moon roofs and convertibles. Unfortunately I do not have a part # or pictures.
