Yes, but I used one from a facelift car with indicator above cruiser stalk. Better placement and quality IMO. Anyone else doing the upgrade from a w204, the w205 clockspring will not work (from other info not tested myself), needs to be from a 11-15 vehicle. Direct plug and play. Also the wheel itself must have the same buttons, any wheel with a home button icon will not work, believe this is post 2015 and Mercedes made some changes which make them incompatible, hence why a w205 will not work.
Ok got you. Yes, the indicator stalk has a superior quality feel and is a worthy upgrade on its own. wheel is fantastic, original is way too thin and hard.
Hello all,
i have C-Class Model 2012 ' Classic steering wheel ' With Manual gear
I want to buy a new AMG style.
The seller told me that the wheel was mounted on mercedes CLS Class W218.
I would like to know if it will fit without any problem?
Maovolkoff, From the MY you have this should be a straight swap. Obviously the paddle are redundant, but you can remove these very easily. Remove front bezel, then 2 screws/bolts on paddles.

One last question. Is that a w205 wheel? It came out well.
I have a 2008 C320cdi. Chip swap is unnecessary, I simply changed the clockspring, indicators and cruise stalks ( bought in single piece for £40 on ebay) from a facelift or any 11-15 model. My particular one was from an slk 250! Anyway, all works 100%. Paddle shifts, illumination, all function perfectly.
help hi if your in UK can only send you my number or you send me yours I'm in middle of swapping wheel and having problems an need advice!!!
Bringing the thread back with some possible new information. This past week I tried to install a A45 wheel into my wife's 2010 C200cgi. I've got the old 4 spoke steering wheel. Got everything off and tried direct swap first but found the buttons and horns didn't work.
Then we followed the suggestion of chip swapping so took everything apart. Here's the problem we found, upon initial chip swapping, we noticed the connectors for the buttons on the old wheel have notches that face the same direction for both sides, on the newer wheel, those notches are not in the same direction. What this means is the connectors on the old wheel and chip which when you swap over, would only be able to connect to one of the set of buttons, usually the right side, so your volume control etc, however you wouldn't be able to use the connector for the menu buttons.
Now you probably could shave off the notch but without knowing which pins do what function for the buttons, I decided to leave it alone.
The A45 wheel is now for sale including airbag.
*Edit- went back in the thread again and noticed the notch issue was mentioned, we missed it before and the images weren showing up. Searching now for a used facelift steering column clock spring. Wheel is still for sale in the meantime so see which option I get to first.

Trying to source the angle sensor/clockspring now but checking ebay in UK, Germany and US we've come up short. Also checking local salvage yards in our area.
No, not in general. But wheels with red stiches came with 204 my13 the first time. And with my13 the new column came. The my13 column is unable to comunicate with pre facelift CAN and LIN. Just three AMG pack facelift wheels my12 are working in pre facelift. A172 460 2703 w/ paddles, 2803 w/ paddles w/ vibration, 2903 w/o paddles.
These wheels work with the pre facelift column. The facelift column my12 is only responsible for making the illumination of the knobs work. Need to know the Extras (memory/cruise control) of your Sedan and I can give you the part no of the facelift column.
Hi Guys, I have read this thread many times over but I'm still confused as to which steering wheel will fit my 2011 C250 CGI (which I assume is a pre-facelift) and had the standard 4 spoke black steering wheel (no paddles)?
My steering wheel as shown below. I am getting confused by seeing a 3-spoke wheel on some of the C250 CGIs, so am not sure if the pre-facelift model had different grades with different style steering wheels??
I found this steering wheel selling locally (part number A172 460 4303) from a W204 AMG model (not sure which one)
It has paddle shifters and it comes complete with an air-bag.
Will it fit my car without modifications and will all buttons work? Not too worried about the paddle shifters working but if they do come alive, it's a bonus
Any help and guidance will be much appreciated. Thanks
I finally managed to find the flat bottom steering wheel with the airbag. It came off a 2012 C250 facelift model with the AMG Sport Pack.
The owner tells me that to get everything working correctly including the steering lights and shift paddles (my C250 pre-facelift model didn't come with shift paddles), I would also need to get his clockspring mechanism (part number A2129008123). Is this correct?
I also noticed that the facelift clockspring has the electrical steering adjustment which mine doesn't have. Will this also work after the swap or do I need to do any modifications to enable it?
Yeah I watched both of your videos but you really didn't show that your steering lights were working correctly after the clockspring swap and I certainly didn't see anything about the electric steering adjustment. Did I miss something?
So, if I do the swap to this clockspring which has the electric steering adjustment and my existing column is not electric, can I just ignore this function or will it create any issues?

Well if I say all works then also of course lights work as well.
