Car died while idle...

Came home and parked and the car died. The remote would not unlock, lock or start the car. My second key fob works fine. Went and got replacement batteries and nothing. Is there a procedure to make the car recognize the key fob after batteries are replaced? Any info would be appreciated. <br />

There may be. When I had the low battery issue my dealer told me to replace the batteries very quickly during the swap-over or the key will lose it's memory. In my case it didn't so wouldn't know how to re-pair the key with the car. Good luck with the problem though.

Sounds like your key is toast or lost communication with the immobilizer system. See if the dealer can reprogram it
