Lowering Springs

Hi to all!
Will lowering the ride by replacing the stock springs with H&R or any other brand, will cause to shorten the life of the stock absorbers?

Any views?

yeah out of general principle since the lowering springs will create less movement.

Hi!

Thank you for clarification. So, as you would suggest better to stay in stock springs or install a coilovers? But, Isn't it coilovers are very stiff and not comfortable in ride?

Regarding stiff coilovers, depends... some coilovers have damping adjustment.

.

Ok thanks. Any brand you suggest? With at least good over all/ comfort quality as the stocks.

depends on your budget honestly, lots of people on the forum are riding on H&R springs. Can't actually dictate how much less the shocks will last but its up to you entirely

Yes, going to aftermarket springs will wear your shocks out much faster. Typically shocks last to around 70k miles, but with aftermarket springs many people say it will wear them out in 30k or less. The right way to lower the vehicle would be with coilovers, but they are much more expensive (for a good set).
