Down shift after braking
Hoping someone might be able to help with my 2008 c300 sport 4matic. As of late when ever I am approaching a stop light or sign and begin to brake, come to a stop I feel this slight jerk forward. It's almost like it is shifting into low gear or something. It is happening pretty consistently and I actually have now prepared the way I am driving to lessen the feel. I don't hear any noise just that forward motion..
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
It would be lessened if you drove in "C" mode, but that may not be worth the compromise.

Than again, mine is a Luxury model so it defaults to the "C" mode upon start. It could be something to do with your "S" mode since yours is a sport model. I do know in "C" mode the car will start from 2nd gear unless the accelerator passes a certain point. This could be why "C" doesn't exhibit the same symptoms you describe.

Good thing 08 and 09 years keeps the S mode even after turning off the ignition switch. I don't have to push it whenever I turn on the car.
If you are using the tiptronic and lets say you are on the 3rd or 4th gear and stopped without manually gearing down properly it will jerk to 1st gear when the car reach a specific speed. So be sure to downshift properly like a manual car when reducing speed.
