Fog Light Question

Hey guys,
I was thinking about getting the Philips - Diamond Vision H7 Halogen HID Bulbs for fog lights; I was wondering because mine is an 08 and has the auto corning fog light activation, would that be bad for the bulb. Can that kind of bulb handle being turn on and off in a quick period of time?

Thank you!

I don't see why there would be an issue. It's a halogen bulb.

Actual HID's aren't good for quick on/off activation because it's bad for the ballasts.

@edgalang: thanks for the idea! Just replaced my broken H7 fog light bulb with the OEM bulb. I wouldn't mind trying this out. Have you tried it?

I have a face-lifted W204 so no. However I got the idea from another forum that I frequent and those guys have.

Between this and HID kits, I see no reason to ever go to halogens again (unless you live in a snowbelt, since these may not generate enough heat to melt off snow that'll be caked on the lens while driving).

Thanks for idea edgalang but I prefer to stay away from foreign market parts. Had a few runs with them on my car and they all broke after a short period of time.
