Pad slapping.....Yes or no?

Just had rear brakes installed at dealer on my C300 Sport with 31,000 miles. Service advisor said rotors looked fine so he just put pads on .Although I was pleased to save some money, is this the usual practice?

Nothing wrong with something dont replace it. Rotors usually last a lot longer than people think if you change pads before your rotors get abuse they will last.

Yeah seems fine if they said so, you could always ask to see the measurements on your rotors. I've been told that you usually replace pads twice per rotor.

Yes. Rotors and pads are not 1:1.
