Dealer won't do an oil change, just a full A service

Asked the dealership to just do an oil change at 30k miles. He won't do it, wants to perform the entire A service. I do all the checks myself and also think it's overpriced. SA said he can't reset service reminder either if a full service isn't done. What a load of crap.

just a thought why dont you just do any oil change yourself and then reset the service setting. if not go to an indy shop and let them do an oil change then rest the service setting.

I don't really have a place to do it myself and am trying to maintain some kind of a relationship with the dealer in case of problems down the road.Didn't think of resetting myself. It just annoys me that after buying my car there and spending money for brakes and few other things they don't want to do just an oil change.

They will just had my 30k oil change done in louisville for $135 and there is procedures online how to reset the maintenance minder. I too think they charge too much to look at my filters and fluid levels and tell me what I all ready know looking under the hood.

My dealer used to only charge me $80-100 just for an oil change. They Never pushed for the full service if I didn't want it

Find a different dealer. I was in the same situation. Called the dealer where i bought my car, they said they only do Service A, no oil change only and were rude when i asked for oil change only. Called another dealer, they didn't even push me for Service A. I asked for an oil change and they made appointment without even mentioning anything about Service A, super nice (has been my go to dealership since then). That service counter reset is true however, they are not resetting it when you only do an oil change, but you can do that yourself easily.

I never get the A/B/C plans at the dealer, mine doesn't care. I just want "a la carte" service, I pay for what I want them to do.
