Rear parking sensor installation
Hello,
I have installed rear parking sensor (from e-bay) and it works as expected when I take the power from the 12 volt outlet in the trunk.
When I use power from the reverse light wire the system alerts for obstacles even though there aren't any. I guess canbus sends signals to check if light is ok which result in malfunction. I could probably get around this problem if I have simple relay that is triggered from the reverse light wire.
Now my question: Is it okay to do this or can I destroy something in SAM? I read something about that in another thread about reverse cameras.

I am thinking of my GLK if the sensors on the back beeps when the transmission is on D lets say I am on my driveway and my dog decides to pass behind the car. I need to check that out but if you are okay with that just use the #71 fuse behind and you won't have any problem but it will always be active.
