W204 (2008) C220 shaking at 40km/h
Something occurred this week which I hadn't noticed before...
At 40km/h, about 2k RPM (auto), the car shakes. More noticable on smooth surface.
I haven't noticed this before.
It's not like vibration coming from the engine i'm pretty sure, it sounds smooth. Once I get to 45km/h it disappears.
I have checked the tyre pressure, all OK. I checked the weights on the wheels (for balancing) and cannot see any clean areas where a part of a weight may have fallen off.
The shaking (not vibration) is sideways, rather than backwards-forwards.
I'm going to have it put up on a lifter next week to see if there's anything amiss but thought i'd ask here also. I find it odd that once I pickup speed past 45km/h it disappears? It's not my imagination, I looked at my friend in the passenger seat and could see his legs wobbling side-to-side!
