Well, I was in the same boat as Bibble et all. Tried the reversing trick in a parking lot. I reversed back about 10m (30ft) then slowly full lock to the left, straightened, full lock to the right straightened. All up, carefully (and slowly about 30m (100ft)). Lights went out, power steering returned. I don't understand it, but it worked. I'll report back if it comes back on. Created an account just to say thank you!
