dash rattle
Hi, i have some rattling, crackling sound around the dashboard/console area as I drive -- gets a bit more consistent and audible as I drive on the highway or above 30 to 60 mph. It seems to be louder or more present when the air is blowing through the vents, but not always. Usually comes and stays after about 1 mile of driving. Any ideas what that is? I'm taking it in to look at the dealership in last july, but they say it may be hard to diagnosis. My dealer keep my car for 3 day and the rattle never come on..... My fear is the noise won't produce when I try to show them. I am very disappointed about that...it's my second MB....
anyone has a solution for me ? i want try to remove dash..but i'm not secure how to start.....

If the rattle is a constant noise, u might want to try video recording and show it to the dealer.

Same thing happened to me but I just needed more felt in the dashboard. Dealer did it no problem. Hopefully that's it.

Finaly, my dealer repair on warranty all m'y rattle.....(put some felt and oil on metal screew around the dash trim and radio trim.)
