Maintenance Schedule Question
So I just got my first ever Benz a couple of months ago from Carmax (2008 C300), and I've been doing research as to when I would have to take in for maintenance. I got it from them at 49K miles, with my Assyst Plus telling me that I wouldn't need my next service (B1) for another 12000 miles. This, however, flies in the face of what the Maintenance manual specifies--at 52000 miles. So, which indicator do I use for taking it in for maintenance service?

It is a bit of a balancing act really.
In the first instance I would go by Assyst Plus. However, check the maintenance book and make sure that someone hasn't reset the indicator early (maybe to help along with the sale).
The maintenance manual is a guideline only. If one service is required by miles travelled, then the next one is due because of time ( and not many miles) then the whole maintenance manual will be thrown out of whack.
