Is 2014 map update free when car is under warranty?
Is the 2014 map update free? I have a 2012 C300 and it is still under the 4yr warranty.
I checked with my car dealer and was told no (I was given a quote of $225). I also did a quick search on this forum and it seems the answer is also no, unless an update to the navigation system is required to fix a problem.
Please confirm.

Thanks. Was not hoping for free anyway. Google maps beats it easily.
Yes, it is my first mb. Drove an Audi A4 for 10 years before joining mb. That A4 was solid and never had any problems except one recall.
Love my C300, but start to wonder what to go next after the 4yr warranty expires. The new 2015 C is not attractive to me. I did a test drive yesterday. The Lux model doesn't look good externally and the sport model is just too rough for my taste. I like the interior in general, but the pop-up display ruins it.
