SUNROOF W204 09 C300 NOT WORKING
hey all i need your help ASAP!!! The sunroof on my 09 c300 is not working. I opened it this morning on tilt position and when i got home i tried closing it and it didn't close. I can hear the noise it makes when it tries to close when i press the button, but the glass and sunroof just don't move. I tried to do the reset but since it doesn't move i wasn't able to do it. I then disconnected the battery and that didn't work. Lastly i located the n70 fuse box changed the fuse and that didn't work either. At this point i don't know what else to do. Has anyone had similar problems? Car has no more warranty since it has over 100k miles now. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Had a similar issue a while back; it's likely a plastic bit is stuck in the track. I had to move it back and forth until I could pull it out with a screw driver. It shouldn't be hard to see if you grab a flashlight and get up close. There's a plastic guide that goes over the track specifically for the tilt and it doesn't take much to break it

My moon roof has a similar issue except it will open close and tilt but only open up until a certain point. I had a friend look at it who works at MB
He said he has to dismantle the sun roof reassemble it and put back on the track, hope that helps

hey guys! thanks for all your help and support. Mp33 had the exact same problem(he has another thread about his problem) his COG WHEEL that is in the motor for the sunroof to work broke in 2 pieces. Long story short i have the exact problem. I just need to put those pieces back together or buy a new COG wheel. Thanks everyone for their support.

I've experienced this problem a few times before. Stuck in tint position. The last time that happened, I made an appointment to get it fixed. The next day it started to work again...
