I have read all the start up noises on these threads I think, but I feel mine is of a different nature. I have a 2013 C300 4matic, and soon a s you hit the start button for about three seconds it sounds as if the starter bendix does not disengage. This does not happen all the time, sometimes it happens about every 6 to 7 starts. Normally after the engine has cooled. I have 15,000 miles on it, and this has happen from the day we purchased it. The dealer replaced the starter, and it still continues. The dealership has blown it off as fuel injector noise. Only thing is I know this is not the case. I worked at this same dealership many years ago for a very long time, and I do know what is exceptable for injector noise. Anyone else having this problem?
