Yesterday I noticed my odometer reset itself. Now, I read that the odometer will reset ever 9,999 miles.

Here is a example picture for clarification on what I am taking about exactly. The top milage just reset it without my manually resetting it, is this a major concern I need to deal with or is it normal to reset ever 9,999 miles?

 

The top is your tripometer. It will reset itself. The bottom is your odometer & it will NOT reset.
