Questions about C250
Questions:
1) The C250's 1.8 liter four cylinder engine came with direct injection (DI). How do I get rid of carbon-build up inside of intake ports? Do I take it to Mercedes dealer and have them to clean them every, say, 30k miles?
2) My wife owns a '05 Mercedes C230 Kompressor. I've driven it a lot and it's a really nice car because of excellent MPG. While driving it on the freeway at 80 MPH, the engine turns at 3,100 RPM (approximate). The C230 has a five-speed auto transmission. What is RPM at 80 MPH on C250 with seven-speed auto transmission?
3) If you think C250 isn't a reliable car because of expensive repairs such as cleaning the intake ports, EIS (key ignition), etc. What is your opinion of 2008 or 2009 C350 (M272 V-6 engine)? Is it more reliable than C250?
I really like C250 because of a good balance between fuel economy and strong turbo-charged engine. I also like C350 because of better acceleration (0-60 in 6.1 seconds).
thanks
The EIS/ESL issues are problems for all W204 variants.
