Winter care

I live in the Boston area and the iwnter here can be pretty harsh.

I just got a 2013 C300 and it's Black (yes i know its crazy but love it when it shines).

What special care should I take wen it comes to the snow, ice etc for the paint and body in general. At my house, the car is garaged but it will be driven in snow.

A good wax once a month?

I live in New England and also own a black C300. I use Chemical Guy's Jet Seal Sealant on my car it will last a year. I first clay the car, polish it needed, than put on Black Luminous Glow Infusion for Black & Dark Paint, it's a glaze than I put the Jet Seal on, two coats. Than I wax the car it holds up so well that my customers think I wash my car every week.

The Jet Seal can also be used on the windshield and it last longer than rain X. If you don't want to spend the money for the Jet Seal you can use Griot's sealer it works well also.

i second Chemical Guys products. I'm a huge fan. 'll have to try out the Jet Seal if it has that type of lngevity. I currently use the Blitz sealant and have waxed with their XXX wax.

Try OPTI-COAT if you can find it.
It is quite expensive , but , if applied correctly( by proffesional) it should last for 2 years.
It iS one of the best protections on the market.

Do most owners without a garage use a cover?

A car cover is NOT what the OP needs. Car covers should only be put on freshly cleaned cars. Winter conditions means he will likely have a dirty car. Plus he's garaging the car. No need for a cover.

Thank you. I have no garage and use the car daily.

Start with a good detail and sealant. Maintain with Optimum No Rinse weekly. It's a great way to wash your car without actually washing your car. Look it up and you'll see what I mean.
