Beginwith a COLD vehicle
Alwaysstart process with fuel between ¼ and ¾
Donot accelerate hard during this process :
Start engineand let idle 3-4 mins
Drive untilgauge reads at least 70c
Pull overand remain stopped with transmission in “D” for 5-10 mins
Proceed todrive vehicle (preferably on interstate)
Coast downfrom about 65mph to whatever is a safe speed (utilize off ramps for this)
Coast down5-10 times
Oncereturned, let vehicle idle for 5-10 mins.
