Chipped buttons anyone?
Has anyone used these guys. http://controlbuttonrenu.com/. I was looking for someone who possibly sold button skinz to protect them from chipping. I already have the "ON" button chipping on me. So I ran into this site and I'm curious to see if anyone has used them. They don't show the process of how it works which I'm curious to know. I might have to give them a call.
Thanks

That would be great!!! Were you able to figure out if they are stickers or some other kind of application? Price seem a little steep if they are just stickers, but please post before and afters with some info of what this product is.
Thanks!

After reading a few reviews on eBay it appears that they are vinyl stickers. Its a bit pricey for some stickers but the reviewer said they were cut perfectly and looked great so we will see... They didn't provide any shipping info so I have no idea when they will arrive...Stand by

lol! not hard at all. As you can see the only one I'm having a problem with is the "ON" button. And the crazy part is it chipped while cleaning the car. I use the Chemical Guys interior cleaner with microfiber cloth.
P.S. I hate those people that their cars look like they eat , ****, and $ h i t in it. I see it all the time at my shop. I find myself washing my hand more often than I should after driving some of these cars.

Emm, so do these stickers just go to the outer edge of the button or fold under so the edges are not visible? I'd find it hard to believe these will give a satisfactory result? But looking forward to seeing an example of one fixed?
So I guess there is no matching spray paint for fine retouching?

I had the same issues, but I don't have any chipping on a "symbol" ie, window or A/c. Just the edges of the window switches and my CD player (think the previous owner shoved the discs in without paying attention as to where the opening was.)
Go to either a hobby shop or a store that has a model car, plane, ship dept.
Find the Testor paints and get 1149 FLAT BLACK. About $1.50/bottle. It's just about a perfect match.
Make sure to clean the parts to be painted with alcohol (I work in a hospital, so I used alcohol pads), let it dry good and peel any raised chipped areas. The paint will stop the other areas from chipping. Buy a bag of small artist brushes and only use them once. Don't try to clean them and use them over. They'll get stiff and they are cheap enough to use and dispose of when done.
Take your time and don't try to layer the paint on. Just a quick once over and a possible quick second touch up works best. As said before, always use a new brush, shake the bottle very well.
PS - I don't have any chipping on a symbol yet, so I don't know how you would get this to work without covering the symbol itself.

Nothing like taking two years to complete a project. I was out of the country and generally distracted but here's what the sticker(s) look like installed. The button that was chipped is the upper left (Driver Window) you can see that the alignment is off but I chose not to correct it since the overlay fit best if I didn't trim anything. The white plastic that the underlying switch is made of is easily made black with a Sharpie Marker. <br/>
