Crackly Dashboard
Hi all,
I have a 2014 C300 (10,000 miles) and I've been a bit disappointed with how crackly the plastic in my dashboard is. Every time I go over rough pavement or expansion joints, various parts of the dashboard "crack" or creak. I took it to the dealer and they installed some of that moleskin insulation, but it did nothing or very little. I'm the type who obssesses over this stuff and agonize with second guessing - would a BMW or Audi be more solid?
Is this common or normal for C-Class/3-Series/A4s?

This is a hit and miss. A lot of folks here have noise issues on the cabin that they manage to get rid of by themselves. It will take a lot of time to figure out where it is really coming from. Since your car is pretty new better hound the dealer to find the noise and get it fixed.

I've got a couple of creaks and cracks from around the COMAND display as well as the climate controls. I'm afraid tearing it apart to try to fix them might introduce more rattles though.
